ABC Family gives "Huge" series order.
This show has been officially picked up for it's first season!

Disney/ABC Family is currently conducting an online open casting call for plus-size teen actors, both male and female, between 15 - 16 years of age. Actors may be older but must be believable as 15 - 16 year olds.

The casting directors are accepting homemade casting tapes and headshots from plus sized actors aged 14-24 to play high school aged characters.

Story:

Based on the book by Sasha Paley.

A reluctant participant at a summer camp for plus sized kids, defiantly overweight WILHELMINA clashes with AMBER, the size 12 hottie who lords it over the bigger girls. But during the course of the summer, the two sworn enemies begin to realize they have more in common than they ever realized.

If you fit the description, you can make a homemade casting tape that is 3 minutes or less, and submit it with a headshot to the casting directors for consideration.

You may send your casting tape to:

Additional Story Details:

April and Wil couldn't be more different, but both of them are spending the summer at Wellness Canyon, otherwise known as a weight-loss camp. April knows that if she could just drop a little weight, she would be popular like she's always wanted. She's saved up for months to afford Wellness Canyon, which is more like a posh spa than a sleep away camp. While April can't wait to jump into all the activities, Wil can't wait to get out of there. Her parents own a chain of high-profile fitness centers, and she's pretty sure her mom and dad sent her to Wellness Canyon to slim down before any embarrassing stories about their obese daughter hit the gossip pages. To get revenge on her parents, Wil decides she's going to gain weight at Wellness Canyon. It's bad enough that they have to share a room, but things really get ugly when April and Wil both fall for Colin, the sarcastic camp hottie. Are April and Wil destined to be frenemies all summer, or can they overcome their sizeable differences?
