Disney Channel and Disney XD is holding an open casting call in Austin, TX this June, 2011. They are seeking talented, young actors, actresses, singers and dancers between the ages of 10 and 18 (or look like you are 10 - 18 years of age) to be considered for roles in upcoming Disney Channel and Disney XD Original Movies and Televisions Series. If you have a strong desire to act, sing, or dance, then Disney casting directors would love to see you at this open casting call.
This official open call is among Disney Channel's and Disney XD's few annual casting searches in the United States. You DO NOT need to live in Texas to attend this open casting call. Disney Channel and Disney XD casts the vast majority of actors in Los Angeles due to the large number of talent agents, casting directors, and actors available in the area. However, they do hold open casting calls and talent searches in other cities, and even other countries occasionally.
Judy Taylor, Disney's Senior Vice President, Casting and Talent Relations stated, "We are pleased to play a part in cultivating young talent and helping them achieve their dreams. With this official open casting call, our representatives are searching for a range of youthful talent with comedic acting ability and/or singing and dancing experience to showcase their skills for consideration in our upcoming series and movies".
Some of the Disney Channel shows being cast are Gulliver Quinn, SWAC: So Random, Jessie, Ant Farm, Kickin' It, Pair of Kings, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up, Wizards of Waverly Place, and several Disney Channel Original Movies among others.
Minors and foreign talent must be legally eligible to work in the state of Texas and in the United States for Disney Channel shows shot locally.

Open Casting Call Details
