AB Media Publishing, LLC

It's a Laugh Productions is now in production on season one of the brand new Disney XD live-action superhero comedy series "Mighty Med". Disney casting directors are beginning to audition actors for series regulars, recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players. The extras are being hired throughout shooting on the sophomore season, which will continue through November 1, 2013. "Mighty Med" is a multi-camera series that was inspired by the extraordinary world of super heroes and comic books. Shooting takes place in Los Angeles.

"Mighty Med" centers on two lifelong best buddies Kaz and Oliver, as well as young superheroine Skyler Storm. Since the two boys are huge comic book fans and have great knowledge of superpowers, they get hired at a super-secret superhero hospital. While working there, they discover that Skylar Storm is not just a comic book character, but is a real person. Turns out Skylar is at the hospital because all of her twenty four super powers have been taken from her by a villain named "The Vulture". Kaz and Oliver decide that they can help her get her powers back, even though all of the geniuses at the superhero hospital have been unable to do so.

Starring in "Mighty Med" is two-time Young Artist Awards nominee Bradley Steven Perry playing the role of Kaz. Perry has played the role of Gabe Duncan on the Disney Channel series "Good Luck Charlie" since 2010. That show was cancelled by Disney, and will end airing new episodes after the fourth season. Also starring in "Mighty Med" is Kids' Choice Awards winner Jake Short in the role of Oliver. Short has starred on Disney Channel's "A.N.T. Farm" since 2011. He also appeared on Disney XD's "Zeke and Luther" in 2009. Newcomer Paris Berelc has been cast as Skylar Storm. Berelc is an amazing mult-talented actress, singer, dancer, gymnast, and model. Paris is also an incredible young stunt performer, and amazing role model for young girls around the world.

Executive producing is Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jim Bernstein and Andrew Schwartz, both of who also co-wrote the teleplay. Bernstein served as writer on Disney Channel's "Phineas and Ferb" on 20 episodes. He also has been a writer and/or producer on such shows as "Family Guy," "Quintuplets," and "American Dad!" among many others. Schwartz worked as a production assistant on Nickelodeon Network's "All That" and "Drake & Josh" before becoming executive story editor on the ABC comedy drama "Scrubs".

It's a Laugh Productions, which is a an owned subsidiary of the Disney-ABC Television Group, is producing "Mighty Med". The company has produced such Disney Channel shows as "Hannah Montana," "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," "Jonas," "Jessie," "Shake It Up!", "Austin & Ally," and "Dog with a Blog," among many others. Don Mink and Amy Rabins founded It's a Laugh Productions in 2004. The two have also been partners in a company called Prep Shoot Post since 1988, a post-production accounting firm.
