Blondie Girl Productions in association with Hollywood Farms is in production on a new Disney Channel Original Movie titled "Cloud 9". Disney casting directors are conducting a talent search for both Los Angeles area actors, as well as out-of-town actors for major roles in the movie. The project is a snowboarding themed telefilm that will shoot in Utah during Winter, 2013. Roles for both teen males and females are being cast by the Disney Casting and Auditions team, along with roles for their parents and a rich owner of a snowboarding company and ski resort. All of the extras and stand-ins will be hired in Utah throughout filming.
The story of "Could 9" follows Kayla, a prima donna snowboarder who was just unceremoniously dropped from her team and forced to train with Will, a former snowboarding champion who's struggling after a career-ending wipe-out. A video capturing it went viral, branding him an "epic fail" on the Internet. Now, as Kayla trains with Will to redeem her stature, Will creates a training regimen that tests whether she's really committed to rise to the challenge of professional competition. Meanwhile, Kayla must somehow maneuver to inspire Will to overcome his biggest obstacle - self-doubt.
"Cloud 9" stars Luke Benward ("Girl Vs. Monster") as Will, and newcomer Dove Cameron plays Kayla. The movie stars Kiersey Clemons ("Austin & Ally," "Good Luck Charlie") as Skye, Mike Manning ("Hawaii Five-O," "Crash & Bernstein") as Nick, Patrick Fabian ("Twitches," "Castle") as Richard, Amy Farrington ("Jessie," "Crash & Bernstein") as Andrea and Jeffrey Nordling ("Malibu Country," "Body of Proof") as Sebastian.
Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Paul Hoen will direct "Cloud 9" from a teleplay written by Justin Ware of Hollywood Farms. Rewrites on the script have been done by by Don D. Scott, who previously collaborated with Hoen on the Disney Channel Original Movie "Let It Shine". Paul Hoen has directed the Disney Channel movies "You Wish!", "The Luck of the Irish," "Tru Confessions," "Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off," "Read It and Weep," Jump In!", "The Cheetah Girls: One World," "Dadnapped," and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam". He has also directed episodes of the Disney series "Even Stevens," "Jump In!", "Jonas," and "Zeke and Luther". Hoen studied drama, film and television at the University of Santa Clara.
Two-time Teen Choice Award nominee Ashley Tisdale is executive producing "Cloud Nine" under the banner of her company Blondie Girl Productions. Tisdale runs the company with her older sister, actress Jennifer Tisdale, and executive producer Jessica Rhoades. Also executive producing is two-time Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Shaun White. At Winter X 2012, White became the first person to score a perfect 100 in the men's Snowboard Superpipe in the history of Winter X Games.

Story:
"Cloud 9" centers on a group of teens who attend Summit Valley High and compete in Snowboarding. Will Cloud is a former teen snowboarding ace who gave up competing after fracturing his leg in an event, and now helps his mother run her pet spa for dogs at the upscale Summit Valley Resort. After the resort owner's daughter Kayla moves to town, Will ends up coaching her to compete in the local Summit Valley Half Pipe Snowboard Competition. As the two become close, romance is inevitable. Action, deception, humor, and a group of jammin' dogs makes for an amazing story of human spirit!
